Roy Roberts captured his third king of the string title in as many years, putting up 373″ with 28 bass in this every fish counts style event.
“If I had to pick the event I was most looking forward to this year it was this one. I chose to fish the clear water near the dam. It suits my style and I know once I get a few bites it can really get rolling. My day started off quick by catching 10 fish in the first 2 hours fishing down steeper banks with reaction baits. My plan for the rest of the day was to finesse fish spawning pockets but the wind made it almost impossible. I moved out to some deeper flatter points on the main lake and found a good bite on a Carolina rig. The totals of fish caught by anglers in this tournament were mind blowing given the conditions.”
